Our Qualified Professionals
Assist the family with finding the best support staff for their loved ones, the family and the individual served. They select the staff person(s) to provide direct support services to them.
Our Qualified Professionals supervise all services provided to the consumer through monthly observations at home, work, and/or in the community. In addition, they assist with developing the Individual Support Plan (ISP) for accessing and using resources that can meet the identified needs based on the individual’s and family’s strengths.
In connection with the Care Navigator, Community Guide, Care Coordinator, and other team professionals, our Qualified Professionals work to ensure the family’s needs are being met.
Direct Care Staff or Habilitation Technicians
The DCS or HT’s are either associate professionals (APS) or paraprofessionals. Our paraprofessionals have at least a high school diploma and prior experience working with individuals who have intellectual/developmental disabilities. A minimum of 4 years of total experience and extensive training in the Behavioral Health field is required.
The paraprofessionals work with individuals providing one-on-one instruction for habilitative training (based on home or community support). The Direct Care Staff monitor the person’s progress towards individual goals, provides input on any necessary changes to the goals and ensures their health and safety needs are met.
All Direct Staff of Caring Hands NC receives permanent training to provide maximum quality care services. In addition, they receive ongoing supervision by Qualified Professionals to ensure that our agency is providing the highest quality of services available.
